Clues so as not to get nailed as spam when sending a resume:
- Send as plain text, not an attachment, unless employer requests an attachment.
- Don't attach compressed files.
- Send to only one employer at a time.
- Keep words such as "free," "trial," "singles" and "cash" to a minimum.
- Avoid subject lines with punctuation, all caps, or buzz words above.
- Don't use color backgrounds.
- Make sure there is a valid address in the "reply to" field.
- Don't use an e-mail address with too many numbers.
